Description Of Duties: The Grants and M&E Officer is responsible for all tasks assigned by the iMMAP Ethiopia Project Coordinator, as follows.

  • Work closely with the Technical advisor and Country representative, in the develop of new Proposals. including development of project problem statement and logframe, and drafting of proposal narratives.
  • Undertake daily review of various donor websites to identify calls for proposals for Ethiopia as well as to take note of any relevant information
  • Coordinate regular grant management meetings for all awards, including kick-off, interim, and close – ensuring that all staff are aware of key project information including donor compliance and expected outcomes and deliverables.
  • Preparation and consolidation of inputs from internal and external partners, for Interim narrative reports ensuring completeness with all donor award requirements.
  • Preparation and consolidation of inputs from internal and external partners, for Final narrative reports ensuring completeness with all donor award requirements.
  • Develop annual activity and work plans
  • Coordinate to completion, preparation and writing for all national statutory reporting requirements
  • Ensure proper filing of all project documents in a timely manner to grant sharepoint sites.
  • Liaise with project partners, to ensure timely submissions of all proposal, interim and final grant reporting as required
  • Assist in preparing and formatting documents, including agreements and sub-agreements;
  • Ensure partners have a clear understanding in terms of iMMAP policies, procedures, compliance, programmatic and financial reporting requirements.
  • Review partner reporting regularly and flag any issues in a timely manner to the project coordinator.
  • Establish robust M&E framework, to capture and report on output and outcome indicators required for projects.
  • Ensure timely reporting and consolidation of M&E indicators required for donor interim and final project reports, reflecting the progress and status of projects in a transparent, timely and professional manner
  • Liaise with all program staff to ensure timely completion and submission of iMMAP monthly reporting, consolidating and escalating to programme coordinator and issues or areas of concern
  • Assist iMMAP Country representative and HQ with forward strategic planning, monitoring and evaluation.
  • Ensure M&E policies and procedures are implemented, maintained and tracked for reporting purposes.
  • Ensure that M&E findings are reflected and their recommendations are incorporated in future concept notes, proposals, donor reports and implementation plans.

Qualification & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in social sciences, humanitarian and/or development studies, or relevant field.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in conducting monitoring and evaluation activities, preferably in a humanitarian context.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in preparation, consolidation and donor reporting. Experience in an INGO context is preferred.
  • Solid experience in program development, management, fundraising and design and in formulation of program/project proposals and reports.
