ISS Job Vacancy 2022
Overview of Duties:
- Perform critical policy research and analysis on topics pertaining to human security;
- Produce and disseminate research findings through appropriate ISS formats;
- Assist the Project leadership in meeting the training and capacity building objectives of TfP. This consists among others in helping develop training packages, conduct and facilitate specific training courses, as well as compile data for quality control, monitoring, evaluation and feedback on courses and training workshops;
- Provide support with the implementation of effective monitoring and evaluation plans for projects;
- Assist the TfP project management to execute administrative and logistical activities, including but not limited to event coordination, budgets, meetings and internal ISS administrative processes;
- Network and liaise with critical stakeholders to build ISS’ profile, shape decision making and ensure engagement with research results.

Qualification:
- A minimum of a Master’s degree in social sciences, political science, international relations or a related field;
Experience:
- At least five years’ relevant work experience on, and in-depth, understanding of the African Peace and Security Architecture, preferably with a focus on gender, peace operations and peacebuilding processes of the AU and the RECs/RMs;
- Previous experience and skills in developing training materials as well as supporting, delivering, and facilitating of training;
