UNFPA Job Vacancy 2023

The Position: The UNFPA-UNICEF Joint Programme to Eliminate Female Genital Mutilation is the world’s largest response to change entrenched social norms an eliminate female genital mutilation and transform gender norms. In 2023, the UNFPA-UNICEF Joint Programme to Eliminate Female Genital Mutilation entered its Phase IV which scales-up support to 19 countries from Africa, the Middle East and Asia and strategic actions at regional level in consultation with regional bodies such as the African Union.

Eligibility Criteria

Education:

• Master Degree on social sciences, public health or related field, Demography, International Relations,
• International Development, or other field directly related to the substantive area of work.

Knowledge and Experience:

• A minimum of 10 years’ experience of increasingly responsible professional experience in public
• administration and international development, of which at least 4 years in the thematic area.
• Operational and managerial experience working with governments and CSOs at the field level.
• Experience working in-country on a gender, child protection and SRH topic.
• Good management experience leading technical teams towards bold targets and goals
• Field experience is essential.

Languages:

• Fluency in English is required.
