Scope Of Work: The national situation analysis presents an analytical narrative of children’s rights and well-being in Ethiopia. The analysis is rights based, and examines the progress, challenges, and opportunities for achieving child rights and well-being, and the patterns and causes of deprivations that children face. It also considers the progress that policy and programme interventions have made towards of inclusive social services; the adequacy of budget and policy delivery for leaving no child behind. It looks at the disparities in the realization of rights across different dimensions. It also highlights the situation of children left behind, as well as those children most at risk of being left behind. The national situation analysis report will be updated using as reference all relevant recent surveys, studies, thematic areas analysis and evaluations. Useful evidence will be extracted from these various references to analyse the situation of children and women in Ethiopia.

Qualification & Experience:
- An advanced university degree (Master’s or higher) in the Social Sciences or related fields relevant for the assignment.
- A minimum of 8[Eight] years of relevant professional experience in research and other relevant professional experience is desirable
- Knowledge and demonstrated experience with Results and Rights Based Management (RRBM) and the principles of gender mainstreaming and promotion of gender equality; familiarity with the UNICEF Gender Policy is desirable.
