UNDP Job Vacancy 2023
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide substantive inputs to the design and formulation of programme/project proposals and initiatives
- Coordinate and facilitate the development, implementation, and monitoring of the project work plan, including budget and results framework
- Provide technical support and technically oversee the implementation of program activities with implementing partners
- Ensure UN Women’s meaningful participation in various cluster and working groups, including the Mekelle PSEA Network, and enhance close collaborations
- Provide technical inputs to the annual workplan and budget
- Review, coordinate and monitor the submission of implementing partner financial and narrative reports
- Coordinate with implementing partners and oversee timely report submission
- Organize project review and/or evaluation meetings, as needed
- Coordinate and provide technical support in the implementation of programme activities
- Develop technical knowledge products
- Maintain relationships with national, regional and local partners to support implementation and expansion of the Gender in Humanitarian Action programme
- Identify opportunities for capacity building of implementing partners and facilitate technical/ programming support and trainings to partners, as needed.

Qualification & Experience:
- Master’s degree or equivalent in social sciences, human rights, gender/women’s studies, international development, or a related field is required.
- At least 5 years of progressively responsible experience at the national or international level, with a particular focus on gender and protection in emergencies
- Technical experience in gender in humanitarian action, gender mainstreaming, GBViE, PSEA, and AAP
- Technical experience in conducting gender assessments and analysis
- Experience coordinating inter-agency processes is required
- Experience working in a humanitarian programme in Northern Ethiopia
- Experience working in the UN System in humanitarian emergencies is an asset.
