DRC Job Vacancy 2022
Job Purpose: The Livelihoods Assistant will ensure effective project activity implementation, monitoring and accountability in the refugee camps and host communities surrounding the Dadaab refugee complex. This position works closely with the Livelihoods Officer and other team colleagues to ensure an integrated approach in beneficiary targeting, assessments and feedback. The role also assists in relationship management with stakeholders located in international and national NGOs, county/national governments and community leadership structures to ensure effective service-delivery, participation and added value. This position will be assigned to support different livelihoods and self-reliance sub-sectors including Micro-enterprise Development, Savings Groups, Drylands Agriculture, Vocational Skills Development and Education Scholarships.

Qualification:
- Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Business Administration, Development Studies, Sociology, Community Development, Agriculture or Agribusiness Management.
Experience
- 2 or more years’ experience working with I/NGOs within humanitarian/development contexts .
- Experience in engaging communities and other relevant stakeholders in the implementation of humanitarian or development program activities is key.
- Some experience and training in enterprise development, financial inclusion (savings groups/financial literacy) and/or agriculture is highly desirable.
- Effective written and oral communication skills.
- Good organizational and work-planning skills.
- Good decision making through use of previous learnings, listening to others, weighing options, identification of outcomes and considering success chances.
- Team-player, team-builder and motivator.
- Good understanding of DRC Core Values and Core Humanitarian Standards.
