Job Purpose

  • Marsabit County is the largest county in Kenya, spanning 70,961 square kilometres, sharing borders with Ethiopia and neighbouring counties like Turkana, Wajir, Isiolo, and Samburu. Its capital is Marsabit, with a population of 459,785 according to the 2019 census, 77 percent of whom live in the vast rural countryside. It is part of the approximately 80% of the country’s landmass classified as arid and semi-arid land (ASAL) where the primary livelihood is predominantly pastoralism with the subsidiary being agro-pastoralism.
