Overview: CIFOR ICRAF has an exciting opportunity for the position of ICT Infrastructure and Security specialist responsible for managing the ICT infrastructure to ensure high quality and availability of ICT services. The role is also responsible for securing the related infrastructure and dependent services from threats.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- As the lead and focal point of the projects
- Contribute ideas on the project requirements.
- Document the project administration and processes.
- Recommend improvements to the infrastructure.
- Designing, installing, configuration, testing, monitoring, and troubleshooting of the infrastructure and infrastructure components.
- As the focal point in the implementation of project
- Liaise with vendors for installation and configuration.
Qualification & Experience:
- A degree in computer science or related field with at least Five (5) years of increasingly responsible experience ICT services and user support.
- Three (3) of which should be in a busy environment, installing and maintaining ICT infrastructure and infrastructure components i.e Network (LAN and WAN), Network devices such as Routers, Firewalls, Core Switches, Access Switches, Access Points, and other network devices.
- Experience is installing and maintain server Infrastructure Datacenter and PBX Telephony System.
- Proficiency with networking concept and technologies, with a CCNA certificate or equivalent.
- Training and Certification in infrastructure systems and equipment products.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Server technologies (Windows Server, Active Directory, etc.).
- Training and Certification in infrastructure systems and equipment products.
- Familiarity with LINUX Operating System and Open Applications.
- Proficiency with ITIL processes.
- Experience in operating server backup/restore and disaster recovery is an advantage.
- Excellent spoken and written English.
