Overall Purpose Of the Role: Reporting to the Urban Area Manager, the Economic Recovery Project Officer is to provide the overall technical and strategic direction, oversee and coordinate the implementation of the DANIDA funded Livelihoods project in line with the DRC’s country and global strategy as well as in complementarity and close collaboration/synergies with other livelihoods projects in the DRC urban program and agencies working in the wider urban refugee and hosting community’s context. The role will also be responsible for the supervision of a project assistant and community mobilizer and will undertake other duties as assigned by the Urban Area Manager and conduct technical coordination with DRC Regional Technical Advisor to ensure the project and donor expectations are met.

Qualification:
- Bachelor Degree.
Experience:
- Minimum of 4 years’ field experience in leading and managing economic recovery/livelihoods programming in an International NGO’ or other relevant agency.
- Technical experience in livelihoods programming including developing and leading capacity building of local agencies (CBOs self help groups etc), financial inclusion, micro enterprise, value-chains, product development or other related sectors in economic recovery is desirable.
- Strong project management skills, with experience managing multiple location, sector project budget.
- Experience working in urban displacement responses and in multi-sectoral interventions.
