Job Responsibilities:
- Manage all financial data activities, including supporting the FP&A team by maintaining, monitoring, and analyzing personnel and other financial data and their relationships across systems.
- Oversee complex data migration project involving the transfer of financial data from existing Oracle Netsuite product to Oracle’s Planning Budgeting Cloud Service (PBCS).
- Utilize proven data science techniques to improve business efficiencies within grant reporting areas by reducing the need to manually enter high volumes of revenue data owned by multiple pillars of Operations and Development units.
- Design learning performance dashboards based on internal key performance indicators (KPI’s) to guide management’s strategic decision-making, including machine learning algorithms to improve financial planning accuracy.
- Act as point person to advise internal and external software designers and developers to successfully achieve technical requirements.
- Define an approach to data governance with a focus on creating data standards and processes that will be a model for the organization.
- Identify areas for systems integration to improve speed/latency, increase efficiencies, reduce redundancies and errors, and remove data quality problems in close partnership with the Information Technology (IT) team.
- Build new and maintain existing Power BI reports, dashboards, data models, and dataflows that map and model impact of revenue and expense trends and projections.
- Leverage data mining, coding, visualization, and analytical techniques to contribute to and co-create innovative financial approaches and solutions that optimize financial performance and align financials to organizational strategy.
- Identify, design, and help implement a roadmap for the FP&A team to move the organization to a data-centered approach, from both a technical and business perspective.
- Influence by delivering valuable insights and recommendations to improve finance strategy and process, with modeling, storytelling, visualization, and statistical skills.
- Communicate complex modeling processes and results to key financial stakeholders and non-finance audiences alike.
- Keep abreast of machine learning, financial planning best practices, and industry developments to incorporate best in class modeling methodologies, including the use of Tableau, PowerBI, Python and SQL libraries, Saas applications, and other cloud computing and deep learning systems.

Qualification:

Experience:

Prior experience working in nonprofit/NGO and international finance and technology is highly desirable. An advanced degree in data and analytics, business intelligence, or related field will be considered in lieu of years’ experience working.
