The Role: HECA Regional Platform is oking for Regional Roving Funding Coordinator who will provide in country support and collaboration with country response teams (Ethiopia, Kenya, Somalia, and South Sudan) for the ongoing Cat 1 Hunger Crisis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with country Funding team and relevant members of the response team including country director, humanitarian programme manager, technical leads and area managers to carry out a donor mapping exercise and identify key gaps and opportunities in country pipeline for the Cat 1 response
- Identify key areas of support and collaboration between regional platform and country response team in terms of donor engagement/pipeline development
- Support country teams in identifying and cultivating donors that could be strategic for the response
- Support country team to establish/maintaining up-to-date donor engagement plans and opportunity trackers
- Support country funding teams in researching and strategically analysing new funding prospects to meet the set ambition of the country programmes
- Support country teams in developing and/or rebuilding strategic partnerships with a range of donors including institutional, UN agencies, philanthropists/private sector, etc.
- Ensure effective coordination between country team and Oxfam Affiliate colleagues to support donor engagement and pipeline development
- Support maintenance of up-to-date funding grid
- Advise and support country teams on development of new proposals/concept notes as needed
- In conjunction with country team and regional platform colleagues, represent Oxfam to donors and other external stakeholders as required
- According to needs expressed by country teams, assess and strengthen the capacity of colleagues in the planning, securing and management of restricted funds using appropriate methodology, such as formal training, technical guidance or coaching
Qualification & Experience:
- Postgraduate Degree in relevant field,
- At least five years’ experience in management of development and humanitarian action projects,
- Experience in management and coordination of proposals and narrative and financial reports (with different levels of complexity)
- Experience in working with donors present in the region (EU/ECHO, ASDI, GFFO, BMZ, UN, etc.)
- Ability to influence

- Availability to travel: up to 60% of your time.
