UN Habitat Job Vacancy 2022
Specific Activities:
- Develop at least 3 policies, programs, and projects in the topics of territorial and urban planning and their linkages with climate change adaptation and mitigation globally and for Mexico and Cuba, Latin America and the Caribbean.
- Plan and implement at least 5 participatory processes and technical workshops and prepare reports for stakeholder engagement in the scope of the Urban Lab projects in Mexico and Cuba, Latin America and the Caribbean.
- Mobilise resources and develop at least 2 project proposals for vertical climate funds.
- Elaborate at least 1 normative and technical documents for the Enhanced energy efficiency and climate resilience in neighbourhoods and communities project in Cuba.
- Develop the municipal strategy for climate action in San Nicolas de los Garza, Mexico.
- Elaborate activities and tools to incorporate the climate action component into Our City Plans toolbox.

Qualification:
- A bachelor’s degree in environmental engineering, geography, urban planning, climate change or similar is required. A postgraduate degree is desirable.
Experience:
- At least 2 years of professional experience in the development and implementation of climate change adaptation and mitigation and urban resilience projects, in collaboration with multidisciplinary work teams is required. Knowledge of the 2030 Agenda, the New Urban Agenda, Global Public Space Agenda and/or UN-Habitat language is desirable. International experience particularly in the field of international cooperation for territorial and urban development will be considered an advantage.
