UN Habitat Job Vacancy 2022
Job Responsibilities: Under the direct supervision of the Associate Programme Manager, the intern will:
- Assist in regular communication between requested groups.
- Collate knowledge discussed in team/committee meetings.
- Assist in keeping track of all communication and deliverables to be submitted.
- Support in keeping track of ad hoc requests.
- Monitor implementation of LHS mandates.
- Assist in setting up regular meetings with the Umbrella group.
- Support in ensuring committees stick to mandates and close any gaps in understanding.
- Analyze toolkits and execution.
- Background support for meetings for stakeholders outside the section (branch, division, agency-wide).
- Document projects that undertaken through regular meetings.
- Ensure guidelines are being followed.
- Relay information on the LHS mandates, norms and standards.
- Build strategic communications system in order to keep track of grassroot level activities.
- Assist in examining project proposals before final submission.
- Make recommendations to proposer before submission.
- Facilitate project document review by the section.

Qualification:
- Be enrolled in a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher);
Experience:
- No working experience is required to apply for the United Nations Internship Programme. Your training, education, advance course work or skills should benefit the United Nations during your internship.
- Ability to facilitate communication with a large team in order to keep track of deliverables and coordinate the collection of outputs is required.
- Ability to quickly review documents, project notes, problem analyses, guidelines etc. synthesize and present information relevant to land housing and shelter is required.
- Ability to independently organize your work, monitor your workplan, reprioritize tasks and meet deadlines is desirable.
- Education or experience in the urban sector is desirable.
