Duties and Responsibilities: The United Nations Human Settlements Programme, UN-Habitat, is the agency for human settlements. It is mandated by the UN General Assembly to promote socially and environmentally sustainable towns and cities with the goal of providing adequate shelter for all.

Qualification:
- Advanced University Degree (Master’s degree) in sustainable urbanization related disciplines: Urban Planning, Urban Management and Urban Policy Urban Design, Architecture is required.
Experience
- At least two (2) year of work experience in urban or territorial/regional planning and design, urban-rural linkages, urban policy or governance, assessment related work, or related fields is required.
- Experience in operational activities and research and/or policy development work related to formulation and implementation of urban policies is desirable.
- Experience in international organizations and knowledge of UN activities and its current programmes would be an asset.
Language:
- English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. For this position fluency in written and spoken English and Korean language is required. Knowledge of another UN language is an asset.
