Duties and Responsibilities:
Under the overall supervision of the Deputy Chief, UNDRR Regional Office for Africa and the direct supervision of the Programme Management Officer, the Individual Contractor will undertake the following responsibilities:
- Working closely with UNDRR, conceptualize and develop, graphics and infographics;
- Suggest ways on how best to visualize specific data and information derived from UNDRR studies, surveys, and reports;
- Design and lay-out for various applications such as advertisements, webinars, brochures, reports and other communications products for print and electronic
- distribution:
- Translate data into graphic elements – infographics;
- Layout and design information and communication materials (banners, posters, booklets, leaflets, books, calendars, bulletins, flyers, cards);
- Designer should have all the necessary equipment and software for producing designs/layouts;
- Converting abstract ideas into simple visual data concepts.
- Contributing creative ideas to reach and engage different audiences.
- Assisting in conceptualizing and creating digital communication products for different digital and print platforms
- Performing other related duties as required.
