Job Responsibilities: Under the overall supervision of the Gender Programme Management Officer and the day-to-day supervision of the Gender & Safeguards Officer the intern will be responsible for the following:
- Support gender mainstreaming by reviewing project proposals and related documents and providing feedback.
- Carry out research and summarize key developments and emerging trends related to gender and the environment
- Participate in group discussions and contribute insights, ideas and feedback on key topics and issues.
- Provide support to the Gender and Safeguards Unit and assist with planning and coordinating meetings and events.
- Provide support to the International Gender Champions (IGC) Nairobi Hub Coordinator and assist with planning and
- coordinating meetings and events of the hub.
- Performs other duties as required.
