UNEP Job Vacancy 2022
Duties and Responsibilities: Under the supervision of the Acting Chief of the Wildlife Unit, the contractor will undertake the following duties:
- Undertaking consultations with sectoral experts for building models of sectoral dynamics;
- Developing, documenting and integrating quantitative system dynamics models;
- Identifying and utilizing appropriate data sources for parameterization of the system dynamics models;
- Building system dynamics flight simulators and interactive learning environments (ILEs);
- Conducting a thorough model analysis, including sensitivity testing, and testing policies to improve outcomes for both human livelihoods and wildlife populations in the landscape; and
- Co-facilitating policy dialogues and develop policy agendas.
- Performing other related duties as requested.

Qualification:
- An advanced university degree in system dynamics modelling, computer science, natural resource management or ecological economics or a related subject is required. A first level university degree in combination with two (2) additional years of qualifying work experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.
Experience:
- A minimum of 3 years of progressively responsible work experience in project/programme management in system dynamics modelling and research sector is required; Experience in model building and facilitation is required.
