Duties and Responsibilities: Under the overall supervision of the UN Resident Coordinator in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) and the direct supervision of the Head of his office, the Resource Mobilization Consultant will lead the consultation and design of a resource mobilization strategy and action plan.

Qualification:
- A Master’s Degree in the International Relations, Social Sciences, Communications, Economics or Development studies or related field is required.
Experience
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in the development sector, preferably in resource mobilization or stakeholder engagement is required.
- Demonstrated experience in securing funds for development organizations from the global community, donors and the private sector.
- Proven track record of successful fundraising in a development and/or humanitarian environment.
- Knowledge of the nexus between humanitarian, development and peace desirable.
- Strong understanding of the private sector investment environment.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Strong knowledge of various UN/DFI funding instruments, institutional donors and the private sector.
- Experience working with public-private partnerships would be an added advantage.
Language:
- English and French are the working languages of the United Nations, for this assignment Fluency in English and French is required.
