Purpose of the Post:
- The role of the M&E Officer will be to provide technical support for the implementation of the Integrated Campaign Digitalization project. The incumbent will also provide technical support to other digital health initiatives of the WHO Country Office in Kenya including the development and enhancement of the Digital Health Platform.
- Objectives of the Programme and of the immediate unit or field activity (Overview of the programme):
- Public health campaigns have long been important instruments for implementing health interventions to scale up health policies and achieve high coverage. This includes health campaigns for Malaria, Malnutrition, Measles, Meningitis, Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTDs), Polio, Tetanus, Typhoid, Yellow Fever and recently COVID-19 etc.

Qualification:
- Bachelor’s degree in any of the following; computer science, Health informatics, information technology, Medical Informatics, digital health, complemented by qualifications or training in health related fields.
- Master’s degree in any of the above fields.
- At least 5 years of experience at the national and international levels, in planning, designing and implementing, monitoring and evaluation digital health strategies, methodologies, tools and systems, including in the field of design and implementation of campaigns
- Working experience in Kenya Health Information with Ministry of Health, WHO, other UN agencies or other recognized national and international organizations.
- Essential: Excellent knowledge of English.
Other Skills (e.g. IT):
- Advanced use of MS Office, particularly spreadsheets, data visualization and analysis tools, and databases
- Design and management of information systems
- Skill in use of one or more statistical analysis programs (e.g., R, STATA, SAS, SPSS)
- Understanding of the necessary public health programs,
- Excellent organizational skills.
