Job Tasks:
- Work closely with the project manager and DPP team to lead the development of the 3 proposed financial mechanisms to accelerate the e-mobility ecosystem from the supply and demand sides.
- Develop detailed business model for how the financial mechanisms will spur the deployment of e- 2Ws and e-3Ws, accounting for the parameters of their use cases, the target demographic groups and the available products in the market.
- Elaborate the proposed financial mechanisms and construct models for different capitalization scenarios to assess the most effective capital allocation between the mechanisms to catalyze the uptake of electric 2Ws and 3Ws in Kenya.
- Identify and engage potential financial institutions for delivering the financial mechanisms to the target stakeholders, and for co-funding opportunities.
- Support discussions and negotiations with the potential financial NSO and after the NSO is selected, work with the NSO to conduct outreach and discussions with local financial institutions who have potential to implement the financial mechanisms.
- Develop term sheets for the selected financing mechanisms, analyzing financial flows and sustainability
- Develop an operational plan and phase-out strategy for the financial mechanism(s) developed, including outreach strategy to target beneficiaries.
- Create written documentation, presentations, reports, etc. to support partner engagement and the reporting requirements for the project.
