Eligibility Criteria
Education:
- Master’s degree in Business Administration, International Relations, Political Science, Communications, Information Management, Computer Science, or a related field from an accredited academic institution with two years relevant professional experience; or
- University degree in the above fields with four years of relevant professional experience.
Experience:
- Experience working in international organizations and the humanitarian community;
- Experience in project implementation in a humanitarian context;
- Experience in data collection, research, and report writing;
- Experience writing technical documents, translating/planning specifications to technical briefs for data capture/analysis, and compiling diverse datasets;
- Experience in statistical analysis (e.g., STATA, SPSS, R, Python) is required;
- Experience in using visualization tools such as lnDesign, Illustrator, PowerBi is an advantage;
- Prior experience with DTM is a strong asset, prior experience with similar data collection systems is a requirement; and,
- Experience in relevant issues such as migration, displacement, and humanitarian assistance would be an asset.
Skills:
- Strong computer background, including experience with relational databases, Microsoft applications, spreadsheets, and word processing;
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; and
- Solid organizational skills: ability to be flexible and capacity to perform well under pressure in a fast-paced and detail-oriented team environment.
Languages:
- IOM’s official languages are English, French, and Spanish.
- External applicants for all positions in the Professional category are required to be proficient in
- English and have at least a working knowledge of one additional UN Language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, or Spanish).
- For all applicants, fluency in English is required (oral and written). Working knowledge of Arabic, French, and/or Spanish is an advantage.
- Proficiency of language(s) required will be specifically evaluated during the selection process, which may include written and/or oral assessments
