GIZ Job Vacancy 2021
Field of activity: The promotion of needs-based professional qualifications and youth employment aims to improve the employment opportunities of Nigerian youth. The project supports its partners in improving political framework conditions in the areas of vocational training and active labor market policy as well as local labor market services.
Your tasks:
- Independent preparation, implementation and completion of projects in the field of active labor market measures
- Content-related and administrative coordination of a co-financed project, taking into account two different reporting systems (in particular with regard to monitoring, evaluation and reporting)
- Framework control of subcontractors (tenders for services, material procurement, etc.)
- Advising partner organizations on the development and management of public employment services
- Coordination of implementation partners
- Organization of the professional dialogue around active labor market measures
- Coordination of project activities with other GIZ projects and GIZ headquarters
Qualification & Experience:
- Completed university degree in international relations, political, social, economic sciences or comparable courses
- Several years of experience in the field of labor market and employment promotion as well as know-how in the field of concepts relating to public labor market services
- Practical, relevant experience in project management, in development cooperation and in connection with various donor organizations
- Confidence in intercultural communication and a professional, confident appearance, also in dialogue with representatives from the highest political and economic levels
- Initial experience in handling co-financing is desirable
- Precise and clear writing style as well as security in the use of information and communication technology as well as flexibility in familiarization with new tasks and enjoyment of working in a team
- Initial experience with the GIZ instruments and procedural regulations for technical cooperation and their implementation at headquarters and ideally also on site is desirable
- Very good knowledge of the common MS Office applications
- Business fluent German and very good English skills
