Population Council Job Vacancy 2023
Description: The Clinical Project Manager/Senior CRA is responsible for the planning, implementation, conduct, and reporting of clinical research projects in accordance with Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines, Good Laboratory Practice (GCLP) guidelines, Good Pharmacy Practice (GPP) guidelines, International Conference on Harmonization (ICH) guidelines and standard operating procedures (SOP’s) and processes. This person will be responsible for managing all aspects of the clinical project team as well as various consultants, vendors, and Clinical Research Organizations (CROs), if applicable.
Responsibilities:
- Planning and overall management of clinical trial
- Representing the clinical project management team at cross-functional meetings
- Assure regulatory requirements, International Conference on Harmonization (ICH) guidelines are met prior to study initiation and during study conduct.
- Coordinate research centre readiness for the conduct of clinical trials
- Development of a project related plans (e.g., status reports, communication plans, external service provider oversight)
- Conduct monitoring visits according to ICH GCP and company SOPs
Qualification & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in life science or healthcare field, or equivalent.
- Minimum five (5) years’ experience in clinical research
- GCP certification required
- Experience in start-up activities and monitoring of clinical research studies.
- Excellent knowledge of regulatory and ICH/GCP guidelines
- Willingness and ability to travel
- Familiarity with work in Sub-Saharan African country, if possible
