SFCG Job Vacancy 2021

Job Purpose: Following the implementation of the Zonal co-creation and validation meetings across the North East, North Central and North West Region, Search is convening a hybrid in-person and Virtual National validation and dissemination meeting which will engage relevant stakeholders from Northern Nigeria on the developed toolkit on Preventing Violent Extremism/De-mobilization, De-radicalization and Reintegration/Screening, Persecution, Rehabilitation and Reintegration (PVE/DDRR/SPRR). The National validation meeting will build holistic strategies on reintegration and PVE as host communities, those at risk of joining Violent Extremist Organizations or engaging in other forms of identity-based      violence, and those who are being reintegrated have a wide range of competing needs that must be addressed comprehensively. The Event Consultant would therefore support Search to organize a successful National Validation Workshop for PVE/DDR/SPRR toolkit with stakeholders from the Northern zones.

Specific Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Work with the Procurement Admin and Logistics Manager to organize a National Validation Workshop;
• Work with the Procurement Admin and Logistics Manager to ensure adequate mobilization of identified stakeholders for the workshop
• Arrange for the transportation of invited Stakeholders from the North East, North West and North Central states invited to Abuja for the Workshop;
• Ensure the provision of stipends (including per diem, transport refund and others as required) and necessary requirements to invited stakeholders at the workshop
• Work with relevant program leads to procure and engage the services of a PVE Consultant and team to support in moderating the Validation Workshop.
• Organize adequate IT infrastructure to enable connection and live streaming with on line participants for the workshop.
• Provide Ushers and Rapporteurs preferably with NGO experience required for the event.
• Prepare a final Workshop report

Qualification:

• The Event consultant must work well with others and have excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
• S/he must have keen business ethics and work well under pressure.
• The Event consultant must be able to pay close attention to detail and have good leadership abilities.
• S/He must have good knowledge of the local area and have connections with required vendors to provide the required services.
• Consultant must have the capacity to provide up to 60 % of the services before payment.
• Knowledge in hoteling, Transport coordination and entertainment planning is a plus.
