Solidarites international Job Vacancy 2023

General objectives: The logistics coordinator pilot logistics activities of the mission to ensure the smooth running of SI programs in the country. He ensures the implementation of SI procedures and logistics tools on the mission and ensures their compliance and their proper use. He helps define the mission strategy, drafting and design projects necessary means and activities SI. He supports the Country Director in the operational safety. He is the referent on the mission and the link between headquarters and the mission for any issue related to logistics.

Specific stakes and challenges:

• Logistic management capacity. Limited presence in the field for senior staff the Logistic coordinator will have to participate in designing a logistic strategy (HR/process….) to insure compliance of logistic process within a restricted access constraint.
• Participate to risk mitigation analysis along with CDs, FCO and security coordinator to set up efficient mitigation measures (tools, process…) at field level (infrastructure, telecom, contingency plan….)
• Empower the inter-department coordination/communication (with program, finance….) at each level (base, coordination….) to generate/increase global understanding of the mission and of challenges in the different departments.

Qualification:

• Education background in logistics, transport, warehousing, IT, supply chain,

Experience:

• Minimum 3 years relevant logistics and management experience in emergency and/or development context
• Experience in the management of budgets and the ability to prepare timely, complete, and accurate reports
• Demonstrable knowledge of rules, regulations, and donor policies governing the compliance/regulatory management of procurement rules from US, EU, UN, and other agencies
• Proven ability to develop, implement and support adequate logistics systems, including planning, managing, procurement, fleet stock, and asset management
• Previous experience with SI is an asset
• Previous experience in remote management is an asset
