UNFPA Job Vacancy 2023

Job Purpose: The purpose of this baseline is to provide an information base on which to monitor and assess an activity’s progress and effectiveness during implementation and after the implementation.

Scope of work:

  • Lead in the production of a baseline inception report clearly outlining the methodology for primary data collection and study implementation plan.
  • Lead in the development of tools for primary data collection
  • Prepare the report of the fieldwork and other information
  • Responsible for the recruitment of forty-two (42) data collectors for the assessment, that will work with the three (3) consultants responsible for the evaluation.
  • Lead in training the forty-two (42) data collectors on data collection tools for the assessment.
  • Supervise/ monitor the 2 consultants and overall supervision of the 42 data collection by data collectors

Qualification & Experience:

  • Possess a Masters or higher qualification in public health, reproductive health, or related discipline with 5 years of relevant post-graduation work experience or a first degree in similar fields as mentioned above with 7 years of relevant post-graduation working experience related to research, monitoring & evaluation, programme/project evaluation in the public sector linked to reproductive health and rights issues.
  • Experience in developing and managing Focus Group Discussions, Interviews, and Surveys.
  • In-depth knowledge of humanitarian issues and challenges, as well as Nigeria government policies, substantive knowledge of health development programmatic areas of UNFPA work in the country as well as experience conducting evaluation of public health and education projects;
  • Substantive knowledge of RMNCAH, SRH/FP, Maternal Health, Education and Gender programming and service provision;
  • Capable of establishing and recruiting a network of local researchers who will assist in conducting the assessment;
  • Proven team leading and managerial experience
