World Bank Job Vacancy 2022
Objectives: The objective of this Consultancy is to coordinate two different types of fieldwork that will inform the project component focusing on capacity-strengthening, communication, and dissemination. First an on-ground survey of approximately 500 households to understand their beliefs, intentions and reported behaviors on waste management. Second, an on-ground ethnography and qualitative interviews to approximately 30 households to deepen the understanding of behavioral and contextual bottlenecks to sustainable waste management behaviors. The survey data collection will be conducted by a third-party vendor while the ethnography will be implemented by the WBG project team.
Overall project management:
- Manage day-to-day project implementation, overall coordination of project outcomes, supervision of field activities and on-ground teams, and client management.
- Provide internal progress reporting and record keeping on technical aspects of project operation as well as minutes, decisions and recommendations of meetings and workshops.
- Coordinate with all project partners and follow-up regularly on all project activities
- In coordination with the team, organize meetings with project counterparts as needed
- Coordinate with relevant stakeholders to facilitate access to resources and data needed for field activities
Qualification & Experience:
- Master’s degree in Economics, Management Sciences, Public Management, Public Policy, Social Psychology, Sociology, Anthropology or related fields. Ph.D. candidates will also be considered.
- At least three (3) years of experience in planning, managing, and implementing field research, operations, or activities in developing countries.
- At least three (3) years of relevant work experience in Eastern Africa, particularly in Nigeria
- At least three (3) years of relevant work experience conducting qualitative research, including design and implementation of qualitative instruments, inductive and statistical analysis, proficiency on qualitative software, production of user-friendly written outputs.
- Knowledge and experience of behavioral sciences, quantitative research, or waste management are preferred
