UNDP Job Vacancy 2022
Duties and Responsibilities: Under the overall guidance of the UNDP DRR (P) and supervision of the Crisis Prevention and Recovery Advisor and working in close collaboration with the Committee, the Research and Data Analysis Officer will perform the following key duties:
- Develop a Communications, Public and Stakeholder Engagement Strategy for the Committee to ensure coherent outreach and advocacy
- Prepares communications materials for print/electronic/voice/visual media and supports the production of the Committee’s visibility content
- Initiate and sustain media engagements on the work of the Committee
- Supports the Committee in preparing for and organising public speaking engagements with the preparation of background materials, talking points and speeches related to their core mandate
- Support with communication efforts through multi-media channels; review, edit and production of the Committee’s reports
Qualification:
- Graduate degree in development studies, Communications, Journalism, Social Sciences, International development, Public Administration, or related fields.
Experience:
- At least 4 years of professional experience in the field communications and outreach or stakeholder engagement related work
- Excellent knowledge on the management of key media stakeholders and community mobilisation
- Deep knowledge and experience in engagements through multi-media channels – including social media
- Capacity to provide technical assistance to national counterparts, including through dialogue with high level political and administrative officers, including electoral administration, as well as donors and the international community.
- Previous experience in public relations, community engagement
- Strong speaking, writing and analytical skills
- Working experience in Anambra State or South East Nigeria a major asset
