Job description: SI is responding to the humanitarian needs of displaced populations and host communities through Wash, Shelter & NFI, FSL (Food Security and Livelihood) and Emergency/Rapid Response activities. In order to promote an integrated approach, SI is also lead partner of 1 consortiums: with INTERSOS implementing CCCM and protection activities and Health and Nutrition.
Security context is challenging in both North East (Borno) and North West (Zamfara), Nigeria, justifying specific arrangements. Depending on evolution of the security situation, access to the field vary from limited to none.
About The Job:
- The Field Coordinator has two bases under his management (Monguno and Maiduguri)
- He has the role of delegated Country Director (CD) for a region of a country in which Solidarites International intervenes.
- He/she proposes the base strategy according to the geopolitical and humanitarian context, and ensures its implementation once validated.
- He/she checks and ensures that projects are carried out in accordance with the Solidarités International charter, respecting all internal and contractual procedures
- He/she mobilizes the material and financial resources necessary for programs to run smoothly, and supervises resource management.
- He/she coordinates the teams in place and is responsible for their security in his/her assigned zone.
- He/she is the Country Director’s direct contact and representative.
Qualification & Experience:
- Professional experience: 2 years of experience in a similar position
- Experience in remote management will be an asset
- Previous experiences with SI will be an asset
- Ability to represent SI and ensure an efficient and proactive coordination with other actors.
- Cultural sensitivity and experience working in conflict sensitive areas.
