How can you make a difference?
Finance Unit plays a key role in facilitating WFP’s operations through management of financial resources entrusted to the Programme, financial risk management, settlement of WFP’s financial obligations to vendors, cooperating partners, employees and other stakeholders, maintaining accounting records of WFP’s financial transactions, providing cross-functional financial advice on all aspects of WFP’s operations.
In this role, you will:
- Receiving invoices, checking they are correct and uploading them on the ITS (Invoice Tracking System) in a timely manner. Generate relevant reports from Invoice Tracking System (ITS).
- Scanning of finance document for appropriate action; filling of soft copy files on Team space and WINGS.
- Timely filing of office documents, regularly reviewing files to ensure completeness/timeliness of filing and retrieving filed documents as and when required.
- Maintain a register CBT Financial Instrument (SCOPE & SIM Cards).
Qualification & Experience:
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate programme (for example, master’s degree) from a recognized university and has attended classes in the past 12 months or a recent graduate from an undergraduate or graduate programme (within six months before the application to the internship programme) from a recognized university and has attended classes in the last 12 months of enrolment in the university, in the field of Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline.
