Organizational Setting: FAO Security Services aim to enable a safe and secure operating environment in order to ensure continuity of operations in FAO headquarters and decentralized offices. FAO Security Services’ purpose is to reduce the risk of harmful acts, accidents, natural and technological hazards to FAO personnel, eligible family members and visitors to FAO premises and to safeguard the integrity of premises and assets. In addition, the Field Security specialist will contribute to efficient and effective programme and project delivery through incorporating appropriate and context-specific security considerations and ensuring full and effective compliance with United Nations security policies, procedures and regulations for South Sudan.
Eligibility Criteria
Minimum Requirements:
- University Degree preferably in Security Management, Police/Military Science, Law or related field. Advanced Degree or Police/Military War College/Junior Command and Staff Course would be an asset.
- A minimum of seven years of relevant experience in security matters.
- Working knowledge of English and limited knowledge of one of the other FAO languages (French, Spanish, Arabic, Chinese, Russian) for Consultants. For PSA.SBS working knowledge of English.
