The NRC has published a job vacancy announcement on 21st March 2022 for qualified South Sudanese to fill in the vacant post of Chief of Party LEADERS Consortium to be based in Juba, South Sudan.

NRC Job Vacancy 2022

Responsibilities: The purpose of the Chief of Party is to provide the overall vision and leadership of the intervention; lead and supervise the technical work component of the Consortium Management Unit, and ensure that the Activity completes all deliverables and produces results on a timely basis.

Eligibility Criteria

Qualifications:

• A master’s degree from accredited university.
• Minimum of seven years of progressive management responsibility in international relief and recovery projects, with strong experience in projects focused on economic recovery and youth development. Two years of additional applicable experience can substitute for a master’s degree.
• Substantive experience working in conflict and post-conflict environments.
• Proven leadership skills managing projects of a similar size and scope in developing countries, preferably USAID funded similar projects.
• Demonstrated leadership of teams and local partners, with prior Chief of Party experience preferred.
• Knowledge of and familiarity with USAID policies, rules and regulations.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with government representatives, private sector entities, local community organizations, donors and other stakeholders, particularly at the sub-national level.
• Humanitarian response, conflict mitigation, or other related field experience required, prior experience effectively managing USAID funded projects preferred.
• Demonstrated people management experience, including recruiting, developing and managing performance.
• Experience in organizational representation, coordination and liaison.
• Fluency in English, both written and verbal
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to represent the Consortium to internal external stakeholders.

Context/specific skills, knowledge and experience:

• Knowledge of the context in South Sudan is an advantage
• Experience in advocacy work
