Key Performance Indicators
- Project accounting and finance management is implemented in line with SSWSEEP documents, Strategic Notes, and Annual Work plans;
- Programme teams adhere to UN Women’s Rules, Regulations, policies, and procedures, using a results-based management approach;
- Programmes are implemented in a timely manner, in line with budgets;
- Regular monitoring of programmes, addressing issues in a timely manner;
- Timely and quality reporting;
- Regular dissemination and sharing of information; country offices are sharing best practices/ lessons learned on programme management.
Eligibility Criteria
Education and certification:
- Master’s degree in Finance/Accounting, Business or Public Administration, or bachelor’s degree in a relevant field with 5 years of experience in lieu of a Master’s degree;
- A professional accounting qualification from an internationally accredited institute of accountancy will be a strong advantage
Experience:
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in providing financial management services;
- Knowledge of accounting concepts, principles, regulations, and policies and the ability to apply them to strategic and/or practical situations;
- Strong knowledge of UN or UN Women financial rules, policies, and procedures, is an asset;
- Work experience with an international organization is an asset;
- Experience in handling of web-based management systems and ERP financials, preferably PeopleSoft (Experience with IPSAS and/or IFRS for external candidates.);
- Experience in the usage of computers and office software packages (MS Word, Excel, etc) and advanced knowledge of spreadsheet and database packages.
Language Requirements:
- Fluency in English.
