UNDP Job Vacancy 2023
Position Purpose: The National Programme Officer will provide substantial support and oversight to the overall project cycle management, administration, and execution of varied and inter-related operational activities. Ensure high quality, accuracy and accountability of the work performed; promote a client, quality, and results-oriented approach; work in close collaboration with colleagues in various units and sub-offices of OCHA South Sudan, as well as in other UN agencies staff to exchange information and ensure consistent and quality service delivery.
Eligibility Criteria
Education:
- A Master’s degree in humanitarian affairs, emergency relief management or development work. Or a bachelor’s degree (in lieu of a Master degree), with two years of relevant work experience.
Experience, Knowledge, and Skills:
- Minimum of two years with bachelor’s degree (no years of experience is required with Master)
- Former working experience with a UN agency or NGO providing humanitarian assistance is required.
- Advance usage of Microsoft Office is required
Others:
- Proficiency in the use of web-based grants management system is desirable
- Experience working with humanitarian financing is highly desirable
- Knowledge and/or experience in Humanitarian Programme Cycle (HPC) programming and cluster experience is desirable
- Experience project design, management, implementation or monitoring and evaluation is desirable.
- Experience with the United Nations is preferable,
- Fluency in written and spoken English is required
