UNDP Job Vacancy 2022
Duties & Responsibilities: Under the guidance and direct supervision of Resident Representative or his/her designate, the Partnerships and Resource Mobilization Specialist will be responsible for enhancing UNDP partnerships, mobilizing resources for UNDP programme efforts, and supporting UNDP’s Partnerships and Donor Relations Teams. The Partnerships and Resource Mobilization Specialist supports UNDP senior management teams (SMT) in developing/nurturing strategic partnerships and leveraging resources to achieve results for the South Sudan programme portfolio.
Eligibility Criteria
Education:
- Master’s degree or equivalent in international development, project/programme management, communications, social sciences, marketing, public relations, business administration and management or related field.
- A Bachelor’s degree in combination with 2 additional years of experience may be accepted in lieu of the Master’s degree.
Experience, Knowledge, and Skills:
- Minimum 5 years (Master’s degree) or 7 years (Bachelor’s Degree) of progressively responsible experience in private sector or public sector fundraising, donor outreach and management, or partnerships administration, preferably with some at the international level.
- Experience developing project proposals, concept notes and pitching documents.
- Experience designing and implementing resource mobilization plans and partnership strategies.
- Understanding of post conflict recovery and development programme will be an asset.
- Strong team player with excellent planning/organizing and networking/relating skills.
- Experience in Africa and/or good knowledge of African private sector.
- Highest-level communication skills, including engaging and informative formal public speaking and writing.
- Able to work effectively in a multi-cultural environment
Language requirements:
- Proficiency in oral and written English language.
- A second UN language will be an asset.
