UNMISS Job Vacancy 2023
Org. Setting and Reporting: This position is located in the United Nations Mission in South Sudan (UNMISS), Juba. Juba is classified in the “E” category and as a non-family duty station. The incumbent will work in the Fund Secretariat of the South Sudan Multi Partner Trust Fund for Reconciliation, Stabilization, and Resilience and will report directly to the Fund Manager.
Eligibility Criteria
Education:
- An advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) in political science, social science, international studies, business administration, economics, engineering, earth sciences or a related field is required. A first-level university degree in combination with an additional two years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.
Work Experience:
- A minimum of two years of progressively responsible experience in humanitarian affairs, peacekeeping, rehabilitation, development, programme management or related area, is required.
- Proven experience in direct project or grant management and budgeting is required.
- Experience working on large scale projects and multi-organisational initiatives is desirable.
- Experience working within the UN common system, Non-Governmental Organisation or other comparable international organisation is desirable
- Field experience in a conflict or post-conflict context is desirable.
Languages:
- English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. For this position advertised, fluency in oral and written English is required.
