UNMISS Job Vacancy 2022
Org. Setting and Reporting: This position is located in the United Nations Mission in South Sudan (UNMISS) Juba, in the Property and Inventory Management Section. Juba is classified in the “E” category and as a non-family duty station. The Senior Supply Chain Management Officer reports to the Chief of Service, Supply Chain Management and is responsible for supporting and advising in the overall management of an integrated supply chain, covering the areas of planning and execution including providing advice on acquisition, warehousing, asset, and inventory management.
Eligibility Criteria
Education:
- Advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) in supply chain management, business administration/management, or related field. A first-level university degree in combination with two additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.
- Supply Chain Professional (SCOR-P) certification is desirable.
Work Experience:
- A minimum of ten (10) years of progressively responsible experience in at least three areas of supply chain management: acquisition, procurement, supply chain planning, logistics, warehousing, asset and inventory management, passenger and cargo transportation, or contract management is required.
- At least four years of management experience in supply chain management, of which at least two years in managing supply chain operations in an international environment is required.
- Experience in managing highly complex supply chain operations in a conflict or post-conflict environment with scarcity of resources is desirable.
- Experience in change management is desirable.
- Experience in planning, deployment or sustaining field operations is desirable.
Languages:
- English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. For the position advertised, fluency in oral and written English is required.
