UNV Job Vacancy 2021
Description of task
Within the delegated authority and under the supervision of Associate Admin Officer or his/her designated mandated representative(s), the UN Volunteer Associate Power and Infrastructure Officer will:
- Develop preventive maintenance schedules of the UNHCR generators and air conditioners in South Sudan and coordinate and monitor its timely implementation.
- Maintain an overview of all generators and air conditioners’ repair needs and propose replacement when required.
- Plan and support electrical network and Installation in new offices.
- Check Installation in UNHCR premises and propose improvements to bring the electrical installations up to an acceptable standard.
- Perform electrical installations, maintenance, and repairs to keep the electrical networks in good conditions.
- Train and supervise in the daily work local technicians on good installation, maintenance practice and especially emphasize how to connect and balance three phase generators to different type of loads.
- Monitor the synchronization panels performance regularly to avoid breakdown.
Qualifications/ Requirements:
Required degree level
- Bachelor degree or equivalent

- Minimum of 3 years relevant professional Job experience in generators and air conditioners repairs and maintenance
