WHO Job Vacancy 2022
Purpose of the Position: In the context of the WHO Transformation Agenda the incumbent will provide overall coordination and supervision of WHO support to the Ministry of Health through the Subnational Teams(state and County), to ensure efficient and effective implementation of Country office activities as well as ensuring visibility of the technical and operational leadership role of WHO. In addition, the incumbent will provide technical assistance on integrated, people centred and equitable health service delivery focusing on Supporting health care workforce development and as part of the programme of work of the WHO Country Office and its efforts to strengthen health systems.
Eligibility Criteria:
Education (Qualifications):
- Essential: An advanced University degree (Masters level or above) in Public Health, Management or Public Administration or related field from accredited/recognized Institute.
- Desirable: Post Graduate degree in Epidemiology.
Experience:
- Essential: At least seven (7) years’ relevant experience, at the national and international levels, in Coordination and management of teams in a complex emergency setting, planning and implementing of emergency incident management and response programs.
- Desirable: Relevant work experience with WHO and/or UN agencies, health cluster partners; experience working in relevant nongovernmental or humanitarian organizations. Additional training in health service management; licensing and accreditation of health services/facilities; quality improvement initiatives. Demonstrated experience working with subnational health authorities (State, or County) at the country level.
Languages:
- Essential: Excellent knowledge of the English.
- Desirable: Knowledge of French or other UN language. Working knowledge of local languages.
