UNDPO Job Vacancy 2021
Org. Setting and Reporting: This position is located in the Department of Peace Operations (DPO), Policy, Evaluation and Training Division (DPET), Integrated Training Service (ITS), Civilian Pre-Deployment Team (CPT) and is physically located in Entebbe, Uganda. The Training Officer will report to the Head of CPT.
Eligibility criteria
Education:
- Advanced university degree (Masters’ degree or equivalent degree), in training or learning and development, management, public or business administration, education, social science or a related area. A first-level university degree in combination with two additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of an advanced university degree.Advanced university degree (Masters’ degree or equivalent degree), in training or learning and development, management, public or business administration, education, social science or a related area. Work Experience:
- A minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in workforce learning and development, adult learning, training, or related area is required.
- A minimum of four (4) years of experience in the design, and practical delivery of formal training sessions and programmes is required.
- Experience working in a multicultural or international work environment is desirable.
Languages:
- English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. For the position advertised, fluency in English is required; fluency in French is desirable. Knowledge of another United Nations official language is an advantage.
