The Role
Key areas of accountability include:
Coordination and Strategic Management
Oversee the co-ordination and implementation of the NORAD Framework Program in the region in line with the design of NORAD Framework Program as well as SC and donor requirements.
- Establish, maintain and strengthen linkages in the management and implementation of the NORAD Framework Program
- Plan and coordinate regional level engagements with partners and key stakeholders.
- Monitor and ensure timely and quality reports are submitted as per the reporting requirements.
- Work closely with Technical Thematic Teams to ensure quality program delivery, documentation and reporting of progress.
Operational Planning and Implementation
- Provide regional lead in planning, development of detailed implementation plans, phased budgets, implementation, monitoring, documentation and reporting.
- Oversee the implementation and budget performance in line with the program plans, budgets and SC and donor requirements.
Finance and Budget Management
- Have responsibility for project budget control and monitoring to ensure adequate accountability and budget utilization in accordance donor requirements and approved work plans, strategic objectives and Save the Children finance policy and procedures.
- Support the program implementation teams with budget monitoring and reporting by use of budget trackers and BvA; and ensure that the budget monitoring reports are responded to in time and with accurate information.

Qualification:
- A minimum of a Bachelors’ Degree in Education. Experience in managing integrated programs across different thematic areas such as education, child protection, child rights governance or disaster risk reduction is a must.
- At least 5 years of accrued working experience in program implementation with a minimum of 3 years in a management level position in an international NGO and those applying partnership approaches is desirable.
- Experience of working with local partners and District Local Government in Child Rights Governance, Health, Nutrition, Education, HIV/AIDS or Child Protection is an added advantage.
- Availability and willingness to work extra hours during times of humanitarian responses.
