FHI 360 Job Vacancy 2022

Job Description: The EpiC Uganda Strategic Information (SI) Advisor, COVID-19 programs will lead the country-level monitoring and evaluation activities for the EpiC Uganda project under the oversight of the EpiC Uganda Project Director (PD). They will be the country technical lead responsible for all SI responsibilities related to the program, including all monitoring, evaluation, analytics, and reporting of performance and results. The EpiC Uganda SI Advisor will work closely with the project leadership and country-level programs team to enhance or develop systems across sites to monitor service delivery and performance in real-time in order to plan services more effectively and to meet reporting requirements. They will work with the HQ SI team and Uganda program team to develop and support continuous quality improvement systems to ensure ongoing program improvement. Leading the country SI team, they will ensure program data are tracked, verified and supporting documentation is maintained and reported to project leadership, FHI 360 HQ, USAID and in assigned reporting systems, as applicable to the project scope of work (SOW). They will lead efforts to strengthen monitoring and evaluation, and performance reporting across the country, which may include working with program partners and key stakeholders to monitor, document and analyze the performance of their COVID-19 response services and activities and ensure data quality. They will liaise with relevant technical advisers and counterparts responsible for country-level strategic information and monitoring and evaluation.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Master’s degree or its international equivalent in public health, epidemiology, social work, monitoring & evaluation, demography, biostatistics, statistics, analytics or other relevant discipline;
  • Minimum of eight years working on designing, establishing, and managing monitoring and evaluation systems, ensuring data quality, and analyzing data to support performance improvement of programs, preferably under USAID funding.
  • Demonstrated expertise in data analysis, managing online databases to ensure easy access to data and data reports; experience in Tableau or Power BI preferred;
  • Demonstrated ability to perform complex data analytics utilizing Microsoft Excel, STATA, Epi Info; and/or software;
  • Demonstrated ability to perform complex data analyses and make recommendations based on findings;
  • Demonstrated ability to portray complex data sets in easy to understand formats including visualizations;
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of the Ugandan national health and social service information systems and monitoring and evaluation processes as it relates to data collection for performance-based reporting;
  • Previous experience building capacity for generation and use of strategic information;
  • Supervisory experience preferred;
  • Excellent report writing, analytical and communication skills, including oral presentation skills;
  • Position open to Ugandan nationals or individuals who have the legal authority to work in Uganda.
