Palladium Group Job Vacancy 2024

Purpose

  • The position designs and manages the Climate Smart Jobs (CSJ) work packages and innovations in specific work packages in accordance with the overall program strategy. The specific purpose of the position is to support the implementation of effective and efficient technical interventions to deliver Climate Smart Jobs – Market Development in accordance with contractual obligations, company policies, Group Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Guidelines, and client rules and regulations.

Position in Organization:

  • Position: Intervention Manager – Livestock
  • Location: Kampala, Uganda

Qualification:

  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in climate change-related projects, economic growth and inclusive private sector projects is key, and a bachelor’s degree in animal production or veterinary medicine.
  • Any post graduate qualification is an added advantage.
  • Experience in developing commercial business models for innovations in livestock, with a specific focus on partnerships with the private sector.
  • Manage relationships with private businesses in livestock production, marketing, multiplication, and research.
  • Possess deep understanding of the Northern Uganda livestock context, tailoring strategies to the unique challenges and opportunities.
  • Demonstrate expertise and experience in designing and implementing climate smart practices within the livestock production sector.
  • Proven experience in partnership management within the livestock sector.
  • Possess Analytical mindset to assess and implement viable commercial business model.
  • Knowledge of market system development approach or private sector engagement experience is required.
  • The position requires a candidate with good communication skills, writing, and systems thinking abilities, relationship management, and Innovator.
  • Experience working with women, refugees and host communities within Uganda or Northern Uganda.
  • Although not a key requirement, the ability to speak Luo, Lugbara, Madi , Swahili, Lunyoro , Arabic or one other language from Northern Uganda or refugee settlements in Northern Uganda is preferred.
