Job Purpose

  • The MEL Advisor is the technical expert who leads in the MEL unit activities. He/she supports the project management to create an enabling environment for the development and implementation of the project to meet its objectives. The MEL Advisor ensures learning, monitors progress, and provides quality project management support during project implementation. Ensures technical support to partners, smallholder farmers and other relevant project staff on data collection and processing and offers service to promote adoption at scale.

Qualification:

  • A master’s degree in agriculture with specialisation in MEL, data collection, processing and analysis of data collected.
  • A minimum of 8 or more years of relevant work experience in programmes in areas of MEL.
  • Ability and demonstrated experience of designing and appraising inclusive business cases.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and to work within a team.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English.
  • Computer literate, proficient with MS Word, Excel, and data collection applications.
  • A self-motivated achiever with excellent leadership, teamwork, coaching.
  • Communication, analytical and organisational skills.
  • Strong work ethics, high level of confidentiality and Integrity.
