How can you make a difference?
- Under the supervision of the Chief Field Operations, and in close collaboration with the EVD coordinator and pillars leads , the Emergency Field Coordinators will support the coordination of established hubs. Their roles will be responsible for the overall operationalization of UNICEF’s Uganda response to the Ebola outbreak ensuring overall efficiency, effectiveness and delivery of results in accordance with UNICEF’s Core Commitment for Children in Emergencies (CCCs) and national and international humanitarian standards.

Qualification:
- Advanced University degree in one of the following fields: public health, nutrition, social sciences, public administration, international relations, business administration or other related disciplines. Preferably a combination of management, administration, and relevant technical fields.
- A first level university degree may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree, with an additional 2 years of relevant experience.
- 5 years of progressively responsible professional work experience at the national and international levels in programme/project development, planning, implementation, monitoring, evaluation and administration.
- Emergency work experience is required.
- Fluency in English is required. Good written and spoken skills in the language of the humanitarian operation and knowledge of another UN language an asset.
