UNFPA Job Vacancy 2023
The Position: The East and South African Regional Office (ESARO) is located in Johannesburg, serving 23 countries in the ESA Region. Under the direct supervision of the Human Resources Business Partner for ESARO, the HR national Individual Consultant will support the regional Client Services Outreach Branch team in the areas of recruitment administration, data management, and general administration. A work-plan with planned inputs and achievements, and learning opportunities shall be agreed upon. The position will primarily focus on crucial task of bulk recruitment. The incumbent will be responsible for effective and efficient end to end recruitment and change management processes, with a keen attention to details and excellent organizational skills.
Eligibility Criteria
Education required:
- A completed master’s degree is required with 2 years of relevant experience in HR management, end to end recruitment, administration, coordination and records management, organizational design
- or a completed first university degree programme (such as bachelor’s degree or equivalent) with 4 years of relevant HR/ Organizational design experience;
Required experience and skills:
- Relevant professional/ academic/ personal experience in human resources topics.
- Fluency in English is required. Knowledge of other languages such as French or Portuguese is an asset.
- Must be able to maintain confidentiality
- Strong analytical and writing skills
- Experience reviewing and analyzing medium to large sets of various data
- Ability to understand and work with systems
- Knowledge of and experience working with excel and similar programs is required
- Previous experience working within the United Nations is an added advantage
- Initiative, sound judgment and demonstrated ability to work harmoniously with staff members from different national and cultural backgrounds.
- Must be a self-starter and be able to take initiative; and have excellent follow-up skills.
