GIZ Job Vacancy 2021
Job Description: To be able to manage her development challenges, Zambia relies on strong, decentralised governmental and administrative structures as well as good functioning democratic mechanisms. Therefore, GIZ is supporting the Zambian decentralisation process in cooperation with the Zambian Cabinet Office.
Your Tasks:
- Support in the design, establishment, and management of a simple data base for local authorities
- Support in the collection of financial information on local level regarding status of record keeping, storage system and retrieval for sharing with national level authorities
- General support to various research/survey activities of the programme, data collection and analysis
- Assistance in the management of digital platform development
- Participation in the implementation of knowledge management and corresponding IT measures
- Assistance in public relations activities
- Support of the project team in preparing events and workshops
- Assistance in the general day to day business of the project team and take on organisational tasks
Qualification and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Social Sciences, or a similar field
- Very good knowledge of ITC technology and computer applications (e.g. MS-Teams, MS Office, etc.)
- Experience in and high affinity for data collection and analysis as well as data bank development
- First experience in GIZ partner countries is an added advantage
- Very good organizational and communicative skills, ability to work in a team, a high degree of independence and commitment as well as strong intercultural competence
- Good research and writing/editing skills
