ILRI Job Vacancy 2023
Scope of Work:
- The consultant is expected to write a report following a review of the literature and gaps where he/she will explicitly propose an evaluation methodology, defining the sample size and how selection bias will be avoided. The evaluation should be carried out through participatory processes involving the beneficiaries, children, women, consortium members, partners, and stakeholders. The consultant should consult a wide range of stakeholders such as regional offices, district offices national and international non-government actors working in the area to explore and substantiate findings. Site visits must be made to proportional sample project intervention areas and beneficiary sites.
Position in Organization:
- Consultancy Fee: Lumpsum or by mutual agreement based on agreed milestones and deliverables.
- Post location: Consultant’s base
- Expected places of travel: This consultancy will require travel to and within Zimbabwe.
- Duration: 3 months (Maximum working days: 40 days)
Qualification:
- Masters or PhD Degree in international development or related degree
- Experience within livestock development is an advantage
- Experience with Measurement and Evaluation/ Statistics/ M&E
- Understanding of agricultural sector within Zimbabwe is an advantage
- Significant experience in project evaluation
- Excellent analytical and integrity skills
- Strong communication skills with excellent written and spoken English; knowledge of a local language will be an advantage
- Excellent computing skills including EPI INFO and SPSS, Software
- Ability to work on own initiative and to meet deadlines
- Excellent qualitative and quantitative research methods and data analyses
- Experience in working with the local community
- Willingness and ability to travel to the different project implementation countries and districts
