Specific Duties:

Project Management;

  • Lead the development of annual activity plan, budget and procurement work plan based on expected outputs;
  • Supervise agreed project management procedures to facilitate project implementation and ensure delivery of high-quality outcomes;
  • Supervise the project management team, service providers and consultants that work for the project;
  • Work with project staff to receive, review and synthesize monitoring information to support adaptive management and ensure timely compliance with internal and donor monitoring and reporting requirements, especially to produce the CBA-SACLE+ project annual performance reports (APRs);
  • Prepare any required updates / summaries on the projects and participate in project-related meetings with the donors, government, service providers, etc.
  • Plan and undertake regular communication with other consortium members of the CBA-SCALE+ project and provide support to monitoring and evaluation process of projects, ensuring that evaluations are carried-out in accordance within contracting requirements.
  • Ensure that donor contracting requirements are being met, including the timely submission of quality progress reports;

Qualification:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in environmental management, forestry, resource economics, agriculture, water resources or development studies. A Master’s Degree is desirable.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in programme management in the environment, climate change or forestry sector, preferably with an international organization
  • Experience with results-based project cycle management including monitoring and evaluation methodologies and principles and project budget management
  • Experience in writing project proposals and fundraising
  • High level of computer literacy
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English is essential. Fluency in a local language is vital
  • High personal integrity especially in matters related to finance, official information and communications;
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision and function in multicultural and multidisciplinary environment.
  • A good team worker with leadership abilities.
  • Be willing to undertake regular field visits and interact with different stakeholders.
