Accountabilities:
Assessment, Program Design and Planning
- In association with the relevant Thematic Lead, the Project Coordinator ensures that sound plans and budgets are developed and monitoring mechanisms put in place for the FutureMakers project.
- Ensures the PAM/Thematic Lead, is kept informed about progress on assessment, project plan, project plans and implementation, progress reports, and other significant developments.
- Provides technical assistance on the development of all project implementation plans and budgets within the framework of donor guidelines.
- Ensures that Child Protection standards are adhered to Plan by staff, partners and implementing parties.
- The Project Coordinator is responsible to ensure that all Plan interventions have a clear focus on girls, boys and adolescents, with adequate situational analysis and solutions that promote children’s access to their basic rights, ensuring child participation and non-discrimination

Qualification:
- A degree in Social Sciences, Social Work, Development Studies, Agriculture or related discipline
- A relevant post graduate qualification desirable
- A minimum of 5 years’ supervisory experience at a similar level preferably in an NGO environment
- Understanding of integrated development issues and critical analysis of child poverty
- Knowledge of strategic planning processes and theories of child-rights programming
- Knowledge of development issues, trends, challenges, opportunities and implications to community development

- Research, analytical and problem solving skills
- Good communication, facilitation and report writing skills
